I just saw this on Fark the other day. I can't believe there wasn't 1 PA, or an editor, or anyone involved in this under 30 that could tell them how silly this was going to look.
It actually makes me sort of sad for the producer.
Unless, of course, it's the greatest joke ever pulled off by a local news producer ever.
But I doubt it.

Man I love the news. They need stuff to report so they scare people with whatever claptrap is available. This is how the D&D scare stories of old must have gone. And global warming too.
